Azule Energy invites expressions of interest for O&M services at Angola's New Gas Consortium facility
Azule Energy issued a public tender announcement inviting expressions of interest for operations and maintenance services at Angola's New Gas Consortium facility, marking a further step in the country's effort to monetise non-associated gas rather than reinjecting or flaring it. The NGC is Angola's first non-associated gas development and represents a structural diversification for an economy whose hydrocarbon revenues have historically depended almost entirely on crude exports from mature offshore fields in decline. Azule Energy, the BP–Eni joint venture that is now Angola's largest independent producer, operates the consortium alongside Sonangol and other partners. The O&M tender signals the facility is approaching or has entered the operational phase, and for oilfield services companies it represents one of the more accessible entry points into the Angolan gas value chain ahead of the wider build-out the government has signalled.
